Federal Job Tips for Veterans
Are you a veteran or transitioning service member? Chuck
Bonacci, a recruiter with the Department of Veteran Affairs,
will be on the campus of Lorain County Community on
Monday, October 27th, 5 to 6 p.m. in Spitzer Conference
Center Room 210 to discuss how to obtain employment with
the Federal government. He’ll help you understand veterans’
preference, how Federal jobs are filled, and other resources
designed to help you find a job. NOTE: Later, Chuck will be
discussing the process of obtaining a Federal job at
Transitions, a free networking group for business
professionals, which meets twice a month at LCCC. This
session will be held in Spitzer Conference Center Room 118
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Unlike the session targeted to veterans,
this session will address a wider audience. However, you are
more than welcome to attend both.
Chuck Bonacci has been with the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA
Medical Center for over 10 years. He has held a variety of
positions including Outreach Coordinator for the Medical
Center, Public Affairs Specialist, and Assistant Chief of
Voluntary Service. Chuck is currently employed as a Human
Resource Specialist, serving as the local Veterans Employment
Coordinator and Selective Placement Coordinator. To ensure
adequate seating, handouts, etc., your pre-registration is
appreciated. To register for one or both sessions, or for more
information, please phone 1-800-995-5222, ext. 4076, or 440-
366-4076. Or go online to www.lorainccc.edu/transitions to
